Capstone Village opened its first art gallery Dec. 11 with Christmas wreaths decorated by at least 15 University of Alabama fraternities and sororities.

The University of Alabama Opera Theatre is again bringing the moral and magical Christmas tale of “Amahl and the Night Visitors” to life in one performance only at Bryant-Jordan Hall Dec. 16 at 3 p.m. The opera is free and open to the public.
For the second consecutive year, The University of Alabama’s Opera Theatre has won second place in the National Opera Association’s Opera Production Competition.
Now through Dec. 1, the University is accepting nominations for the Premier Awards. Students, faculty and staff who believe they are qualified are strongly encouraged to apply, or to nominate deserving individuals.
All 19 of the University of Alabama’s Panhellenic Association’s sororities, plus one National Pan-Hellenic Council sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha, are coming together from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, to host the first “Holly Jolly Holiday on Sorority Row.”
The University of Alabama is participating in a massive new undertaking where 130 public universities across the nation will work collaboratively to close the achievement gap, increase college access by removing barriers and help graduate low-income minority and first-generation students by the year 2025.
