Allison Farris, who was crowned Miss District of Columbia earlier this year, earned undergraduate and graduate degrees in management information systems at UA and has worked as a software developer for Microsoft for three years.
Students will have the unique opportunity to pen notes to female trailblazers at Legacy Letters on the Quad Sept. 19 from noon to 2 p.m.

The annual Miss America pageant will be held Sept. 9 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where Callie Walker is one of three women with ties to The University of Alabama that will compete.
