The University of Alabama will award some 3,778 degrees during spring commencement Friday-Saturday, May 4-5, on campus.

UA Journalism Department to Become Home to National Elementary Schools Press Association

The University of Alabama journalism department and National Elementary Schools Press Association officials will hold a news conference May 10 at 1 p.m. in the Tuscaloosa Magnet School library to announce the official move of the 18-year-old association from Asheville, N.C., to Tuscaloosa.

UA Culverhouse Grad Marillyn Hewson Named President, COO of Lockheed Martin

Marillyn A. Hewson, a graduate of The University of Alabama’s Culverhouse College of Commerce, has been named president and chief operating officer of Lockheed Martin, succeeding president and COO Chris Kubasik. The changes are effective Jan. 1, 2013.
