UA Start-Up Companies Prep for July 12 Launchpad Presentations

Cell phones that charge wirelessly, orthopedic implants that safely degrade inside the body, and a social network designed to connect those in the construction industry: these are the central concepts behind three University of Alabama start-up companies competing July 12 in a statewide business competition.

Two UA Students to Meet 35 Nobel Laureates in Germany

The first week of July will see 35 Nobel Laureates congregate at Lake Constance in Germany to meet the next generation of leading scientists and researchers, including two University of Alabama chemistry students, at the 63rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.
