Gov. Kay Ivey has appointed Dr. David L. Albright, associate professor and Hill Crest Foundation Endowed Chair in Mental Health in The University of Alabama School of Social Work, to serve on the Alabama Opioid Overdose and Addiction Council.

The University of Alabama has no plans to close the Tuscaloosa campus at this time. Tuscaloosa County is not in a warning area and is only expected to have a wind advisory beginning at 9 a.m. Monday and continuing until 1 a.m. Tuesday. Campus officials will continue to monitor weather conditions tonight and tomorrow.
