NSF Grant Funds Engineering Preparatory Class, Scholarships

The University of Alabama College of Engineering is using a National Science Foundation grant to start three preparatory classes and a scholarship fund in an effort to address student retention.

Weather Results in Cancellation of Supreme Court Justice Visit

Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Sonia Sotomayor will be unable to visit The University of Alabama School of Law this week for the Albritton Lecture and related events. Weather caused by Hurricane Irma made her scheduled flights impossible.

UA Has No Plans to Close

The University of Alabama has no plans to close the Tuscaloosa campus at this time. Tuscaloosa County is not in a warning area and is only expected to have a wind advisory beginning at 9 a.m. Monday and continuing until 1 a.m. Tuesday. Campus officials will continue to monitor weather conditions tonight and tomorrow.
