The University of Alabama Division of Student Life has announced the recipients of the 2017 Premier Awards – the top individual honors for scholarship, leadership and service.

Astronomers have predicted that big black holes sit at the center of all galaxies. A University of Alabama professor has contributed to a study that found one such black hole a million times as massive as our sun in the middle of eating a large star with a mass twice that of our sun.

The Vulcan Value Partners Research Library and Trading Room will open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. Friday, March 10, outside 203 Bidgood Hall in the Culverhouse College of Commerce on The University of Alabama campus.
