Two UA Engineering Professors Honored

Drs. Ramana Reddy and Gregory B. Thompson, who teach metallurgical and materials engineering at The University of Alabama, will be honored by The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society, or TMS, for their contributions to education and their profession.

Troy L. Cannaday, the interim executive director of The Hearth at Tudor Gardens in Zionsville, Indiana, has been named executive director of Capstone Village, the retirement community on The University of Alabama campus. He assumed the post Dec. 1.

UA’s OAR among Honorees for Restoration Work on Painted Bluff

The University of Alabama’s Office of Archaeological Research, in partnership with several federal and state agencies and Indian tribes, received a national award for efforts in saving a set of centuries-old Native American petroglyphs, pictographs and historic signatures in Alabama.
