State home sales drop 20 percent in January

Alabama’s home sales dropped by nearly 20 percent in January over the previous month, and studies show it would take nearly 14 months to sell the current number of homes on the market. The University of Alabama’s Center for Real Estate reported that 2,966 homes sold last month, compared to 3,702 in December and 3,569 in January of 2007…
